Hi, my name is Christi Ryle. I have been at Paradise for 13 years. I am married to my best friend Jonathan who also teaches and coaches here at Paradise. I have 3 boys, Colt, Pacer and Titan. I enjoy watching my boys do what they love which is play sports.
In the last 13 years I have had the opportunity to work in Special Education, I have experienced many joys, conflicts, achievements, disappointments, triumphs, and tragedies. Some days are difficult, but they are all rewarding. I never forget that these students are dealing with difficulties that others don’t always have to face, and I never forget what school was for me. I try to get across to all my students that everyday is a new beginning and a new opportunity for them to start fresh – no matter what they are facing and dealing with. I try to offer them a safe, encouraging environment; while at the same time challenging them to stretch and go in directions they never thought they could go to. Every student I have is special to me. They all come to me with different types and levels of challenges, but I know that no matter what they bring with them to my classroom, they can all achieve, grow, and learn. I want them to leave High School, with an understanding of life, of responsibility, of sense of self worth and acceptance, and a desire to face and overcome challenges they are going to face in life. I know that teaching is so much more than book learning and test taking. The reward I take with me is when I see them achieving things they never thought they could, and when they walk across that stage to take the diploma they never thought they could – or thought they wanted. That is one of the many blessings God has allowed me to experience in this wonderful life he has created for me.
